Treatments

The traditional treatment for idiopathic scoliosis in children has been observation, hard bracing and surgery. In adults suffering from back pain an underlying scoliosis is often ignored and treatments are symptom focused. Over the past 20 years there has been growing research to suggest that early intervention with more active non-surgical treatments can play an important role in slowing and stopping the progression of childhood idiopathic scoliosis and offering pain relief and postural improvement in adults.
